Located near Union Square and the Theater District, the Hotel
Carlton has an international vintage style that offers an eclectic
and relaxing haven. The charming public spaces showcase a
cross-cultural design that incorporates one-of-a-kind objects and
fascinating treasures. Hotel Carlton is also a non-smoking and
pet-friendly hotel.
With a design that celebrates the various cultures of the world,
San Francisco's Hotel Carlton and its very friendly staff live by
the philosophy of "peace through travel." In other words, the
better we understand other cultures around the world, the more
likely we'll be able to co-exist on this planet harmoniously. The
hotel has an eclectic and international style of design including
valuable art photos on the wall from the American Himalayan
Foundation. San Francisco's Hotel Carlton is certified Green hotel
by the City of San Francisco which means that this hotel attracts
travelers who appreciate the socially responsible mission of the
hotel.
Each of our guest rooms offers a soft palette of soothing tones
such as light, breezy blue and cashmere cream, punctuated by
touches of glowing colors like saffron and a cheerful persimmon.
Another cherished facet of this quintessential San Francisco hotel
experience is the striking views. The Hotel Carlton isn't flanked
by adjoining buildings (a rarity in this district of San
Francisco). The majority of rooms look out on an expansive,
unobstructed view. All guestrooms include complimentary wireless
high speed Internet access, in-room laptop safe, marble topped
writing desk, telephone with voicemail, coffee maker, ceiling fan,
cable TV, CD player that is MP3 compatible, iron and board and hair
dryer.
